Super Easy Explosives
On this picture, you can see a very old type of firework. It is the classic Armstrong firework. It is used by pulling on both strings with a reasonable amount of force. The powder within is called Armstron Mix. It is easily made with household items but is quite dangerous. The explosion given off is not very powerful if the container is made like the one in the picture. But make the right container for it, and the results will be quite satisfying.
Interesting Fact: An explosion is only officialy clasified as an explosion if the shockwave is supersonic. If it is not, it is called deflagration. Some things that deflagrate are: matches, black powder, flash powder and armstrong mix.

How to make Armstrong Mix
Armstrong mix is made of 2 elements which you should have laying around your house. These 2 elements are match head powder and the side of a match box powder.
The way to make these 2 are very easy.
Step 1: Find a matchbox (preferably new)
Step 2: Use pliers to crush the match heads. Make sure you collect all of the powder. (In a bowl or on a paper)
Step 3: Use a knife (preferably a pocket knife) to scrape off all of the stuff on the sides of the matchbox. (Make extra sure that you get all of this material since it is much harder to get a large amount of.
Step 4: Get the same amount of both of the elements. (50-50 ratio)
Step 5: Use the diaper method to mix these 2 elements. Go to the diaper method tab to see what this is. YOU MUST USE THIS METHOD.
Step 6: After mixing using the diaper method, carefully pour the powder directly into the desired container that will be used to explode it or a storage container to keep it for later.
