How to Make A Bukkit Server
The possibilities are nearly endless with a bukkit server. I will not talk about it too much because I want to get straight into the explanation.
Go to the Hamachi tab of my website to see how others can play on your server, including yourself!

Steps
Step 1: Find your OS in the list below, and download the "snapshot" file.
Windows: Here (Still only for 1.8.1. I will update once it comes out.)
Linux: Here (Still only for 1.8.1. I will update once it comes out.)
Mac: Scroll down for special instructions
Step 2: Once you have downloaded it, make a special folder that you will have the server in.
Step 3: Now find your OS again and read what to do.
Windows:
Open notepad and paste the following into the notepad document:
@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%" "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
PAUSE
(Note: If you have a 64 bit computer, use this):
@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%" "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
PAUSE
Now save this notepad document where you have put the "snapshot" file (this should be your server folder). This is an essential file for your server. Save the document as run.bat! Otherwise it will not work.

Then go to the server settings tab to find out how to make it work properly.
Linux:
1. Put the .jar in a folder, for this example we'll use a generic one: ~/minecraft
2. Move to the above directory with 'cd ~/minecraft'
3. Paste this into the shell:
cat > minecraft.sh << EOF
#!/bin/sh BINDIR="\$(dirname "\$(readlink -fn "\$0")")"
cd "\$BINDIR"
java -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
EOF
chmod +x minecraft.sh

Mac OS X:
Open Terminal and paste this into it:
cd ~/Desktop
mkdir "Bukkit Server"
cd ~/Desktop/Bukkit\ Server
curl -O http://ci.bukkit.org/job/dev-CraftBukkit/promotion/latest/Recommended/artifact/target/craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
mv craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar CraftBukkit.jar
echo "cd ~/Desktop/Bukkit\ Server
java -Xincgc -Xmx[RAM]M -jar CraftBukkit.jar" >LaunchServer.command
chmod +x LaunchServer.command
echo "Open LaunchServer.command with TextEdit, and replace [RAM] with:
512 or 1024 or 1536 or 2560 or 3072 or 5120

open -a TextEdit LaunchServer.command
Textedit should open a document called "LaunchServer.command". Find [RAM] and replace it with:
